City Before Disaster

Client:

Melbourne CBD
(University Project)

Year:

2021

COVID-19 has had a devastating effect on Australians in many aspects, especially those who own small businesses in the accommodation and food services industry due to restrictions from lockdowns. The income of these businesses suffers a decrease of 26.6% in the financial year of 2019-2020, largely influenced by “international wide-scale international and domestic border closures and temporary closures of food establishments.” (Australian Industry, 2019-20 financial year, 2021).

The aim of this project is to promote travelling and exploring Melbourne CBD after COVID-19 restricted eases. This will potentially increase its foot traffic and improve revenue for small businesses to offset the effect of lockdowns.
