Tending Magnolia

This project will be focusing on the women that are migrants, refugees and asylum seekers that recently arrived in Melbourne with little to no knowledge of English. Sisterworks would like to team up with Melbourne AMEP to initiate Tending Magnolia - a campaign to promote education and community support for these women through the Adult Migrant English Program.

Tending Magnolia aims to raise awareness about the struggle of women that are migrants, refugees and asylum seekers to the general public and highlight the importance of learning English to new settlers, encouraging them to enrol and complete the AMEP program.
